Why was Zolio created?
Because you need a place to create your professional identity online. Zolio was created as a tool to help college students, recent grads and job seekers.
Are there going to be more tools added to the site?
Yes, phase 2 of Zolio includes additional features to ease the process of searching for work and establishing yourself professionally.
Who needs a professional identity?
We all have social networks, but what about establishing your professional online identity? The Internet plays a huge role in hiring these days- and you don’t want employers to see only your beer-drinking photos. Provide employers with another look at you- the professional you.
I am a high school student. Can I use Zolio?
Yes. Supplement your college application with your Zolio and feature work and experience from high school.
How do I contact Zolio? How do I send feedback about the site?

Zolio profile
What can I do with my Zolio resume and profile?
Build your Zolio throughout school, and after graduation. Create and save numerous resumes and get noticed with your unique link to your profile. Manage your work samples, and soon, your recommendations. Send it out to anyone who needs to see it.
Can potential employers find me?
If set to public, your Zolio profile will be searchable on Zolio.com and Google.com (and other search engines). That means that prospective employers can find you and contact you through your profile.
Can my Zolio profile be viewed by everyone?
Not unless your profile is set to ‘public.’ Your public URL will not show your complete contact information.
What is considered to be a “view” of my profile?
Anytime a person views your Zolio URL, that is counted as a “view.” You can keep track of your total views in your profile after you login.
Why do I need two URL’s? What’s the difference between them?
We provide Zolio users with two URL’s so they have an option of which link they want to share.
Your public URL can be seen by anyone browsing the site and will not list your contact information. If someone wants to contact you, they can do so through the ‘Contact’ button on your profile.
Your private profile will be a link that you can send out to anyone you choose to; it WILL have your contact information listed. You can find both links in the ‘General’ tab in your profile.
What is my Zolio public URL?
http://username.zolio.com, ie. http://JohnS.zolio.com
What is my Zolio private URL?
Your Zolio profile will include a whole bunch of numbers so no one will be able to access it- unless you want them to. It won’t be specific to your name.
When can I login to update or edit my account?
Anytime you want, 24/7.
How do I upload my work samples?
Click the ‘Work Sample’s button after logging into your account.
What types of files do you accept?
.pdf, .doc, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .ppt, .exl (most of the normal stuff)
Can I include video files?
You can insert You Tube videos in the Media tab in your profile. You cannot host video files on Zolio’s site.
Can I write titles & descriptions for each work sample?
Yes, you can include the title and description of the work sample, which will appear when you hover over the sample in your profile.
Why won’t my file upload?

Can I browse other users’ Zolios?
To browse Zolios, click the Zolios tab at the top of the screen.
Can I email my Zolio?
To email your Zolio, click the ‘Send’ button from your profile. Fill out the necessary fields to send your Zolio URL.
Resume Builder
Do I need an objective?
Resumes vary, but having an objective is a clear way to tell the employer exactly what you want to do. The more specific, the better.
I can’t spell. Does Zolio use a spellchecker?
Yes. You will have to approve the spellchecker to start working. After that, it will check your spelling.
I don’t have any professional experience. What should I put on my resume?
Be sure to think about any past part time or school experience which is relevant to your job or internship opportunity. Make a list of important classes, projects or responsibilities you have had in the last year. If you really have no experience, look into volunteer opportunities that relate to your field.
I don’t know how to write out highlights of a past experience.
Ask yourself: What did I learn from this experience? How does that apply to the position I am seeking? Explain the valuable tools and skills you learned while at that experience…and use action verbs!
Will Zolio provide me with tips on how to write my resume?

Can I print my Zolio resume?
Yep. Simply click ‘Print’ button after logging into your account.
