Tufts UniversityZolio Partners with Tufts UniversityIn the fall of 2012, Zolio participated as a mentor to Tufts’ undergraduate course  “Entrepreneurial Marketing.”  A team of 5 students collaborated with Zolio in developing a marketing plan for Zolio’s online trading platform and educational program for young, aspiring investors.

(Developing Responsible Economically Advanced Model-Citizens) is a cutting edge, financial education and advocacy 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering underrepresented, urban youth by equipping them with the essential knowledge for life’s challenging financial decisions. D.R.E.A.M. is training the next generation of citizens who will foster change within America’s urban communities, which will result in a radical shift in the financial practices of America’s low-income, urban citizens.

Founded in 2009 by Jaleni Thompson and Femi Faoye, two individuals born and raised in urban areas of New York City, D.R.E.A.M. aims to provide youth with financial skills that will eventually lead to the eradication of the current wealth gap between low-income, urban citizens and the broader American population. Although this task may seem daunting, D.R.E.A.M.’s unique curriculum develops and engages students through relevant, hands-on education. Upon completion, graduates of the program will begin leading financially prudent lives and share this newly acquired knowledge with members of their community, thus inspiring change.

Mission:  To empower underrepresented, urban youth by equipping them with the knowledge to become prudent, financially literate, adept individuals.

MBA Women

MBA Women International is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering female business professionals, to assisting women into leadership positions in business, and to enhancing the diversity of the workforce worldwide. They serve four related client groups: female MBA students, female business professionals and entrepreneurs, universities and corporate partners.

In order to accomplish their mission, MBAWI focuses their programs in four key areas:
Education

  • Educate students on career opportunities available and necessary skills to succeed by supporting local chapter programs and events at the national level.
  • Encourage women to attend graduate business school programs by supporting the formation of school-hosted chapters.
  • Professional Development
  • Support the development of professional chapters and an annual national conference.

Networking

  • Networking opportunities for students and professionals with schools, organizations and companies that are committed to the development of women’s roles in business.

Collaboration

  • Increase communication and collaboration among graduate business school programs and employers regarding their initiatives to educate and encourage women in business.

ALPFA Boston

ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting): Boston Chapter is the largest Latino association for business professionals and students with chapters nationwide and over 19,000 members. ALPFA is a non-profit entity, dedicated to enhancing opportunities for Latinos and building leadership and career skills.
